McQueen at TARGET !

Stella McCartney for H&M, Mary Kate and Ashley for Wal-Mart (?), Proenza Schouler for Target ... If a fashionista has EVER been excited about a designer partnership ... this is the one one to flip over.

Christmas Shopping !

My Christmas shopping has begun.  I already made my list of things to get people and ... best of all - my iPhone has an application (Santa's Little Helper) to keep track of everything for me.  My dream come true.

My discovery of the holiday season:    www.excitations.com
Give people a memory ... not a thing.  And maybe share it with them.  How nice.  : )

loves it

OK so the new Edie Rose line for DKNY Jeans is fantastic. It is so Susie it's not even funny. I never knew that Rachel Bilson's style was so much like mine.

Prices aren't too high and the pieces can easily be matched with anything - it's very versatile. I really like the mix of yellow with white and black.
I think it might need a bit more bite in the next go-round, though.

Here's a link to the DNKY
site

HOTT.

... p.s. I want to start drinking scotch. : )
I think it would look better with some outfits to have a scotch in hand!

creativity reborn

OK so they say that everyone needs a muse to reach their full potential as a creative thinker --- sadly, mine moved away.  BUT thank you, God for sending me someone who has helped me reignite my free-thinking mind.

I was in a huge rut for a long time - not dressing to my full potential, refusing to do my hair or shave my legs often, being a boring slob, etc.  I'm done with it!

My favorite Cuban Reuben has made me realize that I can't let myself stay in my rut- I'm better than
that !   SO - from now on, the legs will be on display (sans prickles!), the hair will be done, working out will begin again (watch out Katy Trail - you don't know what's coming), my friggin fabulous wardrobe will see the light of day or the fluorescent night lights again, and I will really get my blog update once in a blue moon.

Thanks, Lex - a.k.a. Betty Rubble.   : )

lesson learned ....

A very valuable lesson:

A great dress does not a great night make.

after a long absence ...

Sorry to have been absent for so long ... I just graduated and had many dresses to buy for the multiple brunches, parties, stage walks, etc. I think I did well with all!

On a sad note, RIP Yves St. Laurent
He really changed the face of fashion. Read The Beautiful Fall by Alicia Drake. Amazing.

ok let's be for real here ... a $5,000 phone ? I would hire someone to be responsible for it. I can imagine my little future helper running behind me answering my $5,000 phone while trying to still keep my umbrella above my head. One day ...

on the cusp ...

Maybe one of the best things that has happened to me all day...

CUSP, the boutique by Neiman Marcus which caters to a younger, "hipper" crowd has launched its website.
Happy days.

(Did I mention it -- along with Baked and Wired the cupcake shop -- is the only good thing about Washington, D.C.?)

bonjour, target

So after a long absence from my favorite place (target) ... I stumbled upon the current GO international line -- super fantastic mustards, navies, and greys - mixed masterfully at that. Run and get it before the disgustingly boring Jovovich-Hawk spring collection rears its ugly head - might I add my disappointment in the Converse One Stars, too ? It's hurtful.

"Run, Fatboy, Run" was HILARIOUS. Thanks to my favorite Russian, I made it to a late-night showing at the Inwood Landmark Theater ... my new theater of choice (they have a cute, little bar!) It's a must-see for anyone who even mildly liked "Sahun of the Dead" ... it also really brought back some amazing memories of London. It made me want to move back in a big way.

cou cou !

Hey, y'all.

I'm going to try one of these out. Don't judge if it sucks. : )

First things first, though ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, McNABB !!
